Mayor Judd Nordyke, 41 year resident of the Hatch Valley, came to Hatch as a teacher after graduation from New Mexico State University. A U.S. Navy veteran of Vietnam, Mayor Nordyke holds BS, and MA Degrees from NMSU. The Mayor began public life in 1978 having been appointed to the position of Hatch Municipal Judge, a position he was re-elected to and held for 25 years. Judd was first elected mayor in 2002 again in 2006 and for a third term in 2010. He retired from the Hatch Schools in 1998 after 29 years, having served as a teacher, principal and administrative director. Mayor Nordyke is married to his wife Marcia, and they have one daughter, Crista Nordyke-Long.
Mayor Pro Tem Andrew "Andy" Nunez was appointed to the Board in 2001 and won re-election in 2002, 2006 and 2010. Trustee Nunez also serves as a 3 term New Mexico State Representative, District 36. Andy's career was spent in agriculture, holding B.S. and M.S. degrees in Animal Science. Andy spent 10 years overseas working in agriculture. He retired from New Mexico State University in 2001. Andy is a Korean War veteran of the U.S.M.C., he is married with 4 daughters & 16 grandchildren. Andy is the liazon for Streets, Planning and Zoning, Community Center, Rio Grande Natural Gas Board and serves on many local, state and national boards.
Trustee Robert "Bobby" Torres, member of the Hatch Trustee Team having been elected in March of 2006 and reelected in 2010. Bobby the son of Manuel and Reyes is a lifelong community member. He graduated Hatch Valley High School in 1969, attended NMSU for one year when he was drafted into the US Army. He served at Ft. Knox. Following the service he went to work for the US Boundry and Water Commision. Bobby is retired from his career after 33 years of service. He and his wife Cecilia have two grown children, Rebecca and Robert Jr.

Trustee Lloyd Burns,was appointed January 2007 to fill the vacant position then elected to his current term in 2008.
Lloyd Burns is a native New Mexican, born in Clovis, grew up in Las Cruces and moved to Hatch in 2000. He is a graduate of Mayfield High School and the Denver Automotive and Diesel College. Lloyd has worked at the Dona Ana County Detention Center for nine years. He currently holds the position of Lieutenant. Since moving to Hatch in 2000 he has called this community home, with hopes to be here for the rest of his life. He wants what is best for the people in the community and its future. The flood has made him even more aware of the issues and challenges facing the village in the coming months and years. The recovery effort will affect decisions made by the Mayor and Trustees for years to come.

Trustee Kathie Franzoy re-elected to the board in March 2008 after a 2 year absence. A Hatch Native, Kathie works as a Teachers Assistant with the Hatch Schools. Is active in her church and several civic orginizations. Her duties include the Garden of memories Cemetary and the Senior Citizens Center
